Rob Riggle was born in Louisville, Kentucky and raised in Overland Park, Kansas. He graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor's in Theater and Film. He later went on to get his Master's degree in Public Administration. Also a United States Marine Corps officer, Riggle served in Liberia, Kosovo and Afghanistan. He has over 19 medals and ribbons as a result of his service, including the Combat Action Ribbon. He is currently a Major in the Marine Corps Reserves.
Along with his nine years of sketch and improv work in New York and Los Angeles as part of the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater, Riggle has appeared in several television and film projects. He was a cast member on "Saturday Night Live," 2004-2005, and has appeared on "The Office," "Arrested Development" and "Late Night with Conan O'Brien." Rob can also be seen in such films as "Blackballed: The Bobby Dukes Story" with Rob Corddry, "Talladega Nights," "Unaccompanied Minors" and "Step Brothers."
Riggle lives on both coasts because that's how he rolls. His heroes include, but are not limited to: his parents, Teddy Roosevelt, J.F.K., George Washington, Chesty Puller, Elvis Presley, Priscilla Presley, Red Elvis' former bodyguard, Will Ferrell, Harvey Keitel, Floyd Gondolli, Vince Lombardi, Lenny Bruce, Tom Brady, Sen. John McCain, Eddie Murphy, Adam McKay, George Brett, Tony Robbins, Sen. Daniel K. Inouye, General Anthony Zinni, Ashlee Simpson, Col. Joshua Chamberlain, Dick Vermeil, Tammy Bruce and "Goofer" from Lee Mace's Ozark Opry.
